It might be your Halo 3 retail disc. There were reports and some videos of people having issues because of faulty discs.

Well Halo 3 has no issues, and if you have tried 2 seperates discs and both produce the same problem, you have the following chances.

1.  2 bad discs which has about a .00001% chance of happening
2.  Dieing 360 which has about a 10% chance of happening...

I really have no idea what you are saying in your first post.  Maybe you can rephrase it and you can better be helped.  From the sound of it things are loading but then not working?  That makes me think Halo 3 is causing extra stress on the system that your "other working games" do not do and causing things to screw up but again, it's really hard to tell based on the muttled mess that is your first post.  

I'm not the grammar police but if you want to be helped as best as possible people need to be able to follow what you are saying.
