In the books though, wasn't Onyx destroyed by Saber team and the other spartans?  I remember that the sentinels were protecting the core of the planet at the end.  It really didn't look like that at the end of the game, but who knows.

Basically true, the core was revealed to be trillions of sentinels linked together. So this planet is either one of two things. Its the micro dyson sphere that the spartan II/III's/dr. hasely and Mendez ended up in at the end of Ghost of Onyx or its the ship from marathon that was one of saturns moons that was converted into a gigantic space ship.


My main reason for believing its the micro dyson spehre from GOO is the blue sun/star reflecting at the end of the cutscene in H3 since one of the 1st characteristics described about the micro dyson sphere is it has a huge bright blue sun/star visible in th e sky.

but only time will tell.

If this is any osrt of lead. One of the playable characters in marathon wasa a mjloiner cyborg frozen in a cryotube taht fell from space..... hmmmm what kind of armor did the chief wear?

I believe that the Peter Jackson game that is coming out will be the successor to Halo 3.

The plot would be how Master Chief and Cortana survive on a planet without the UNSC or Elites.

Come on people....lets use our noodles...

I do like the marathon Idea that would be interesting.

also if you include the books fall of reach, the flood, and ghosts of onyx, then from the time reach was glassed to the end of halo 3 it was about 1 week.

Hood never said that the Chief was "dead," he said that he was "gone." He was either saying that he thought the Chief was dead, or he knew he wasn't dead, just gone.

What would be best is beating the game again with subtitles on, starting of course from the last checkpoint of the last level to make things easier.

We never saw the ship crash. We don't know he dies when it does. In fact, we don't even know he crashes; he could get blown up by another ship, or a big rock hits the ship and sends him in a different direction, etc.

i think i already said that.......but the chief wears mjolnir armor(not too sure about mjloiner )......and that is my bet, that MC will have his next adventure in marathon

i think the way he spelled mjolnir was just a spelling error...
oh and if anyone didnt know, Spartans can never be classified as KIA, only MIA.
