"We're not dumb," says Bungie's Frank O'Conner.
seriously... seriously... microsoft game studio's can't pull off online co-op after 3 years in development.. yet Graw 1 had it at the 360 launch?? If bungie is going to take features away, at least they could be honest about why.. learn to lie better frank.. as it seems, u are dumb.
GRAW had crappy AI, poor multiplayer visuals, and it wasn't the same co-op as single player campaign

It's not hard to believe. Gears was very linear, and when you were in the battlefield, the map was quite little. In Halo, you can go anywhere in the map, no loading, way much ennemies. I think the problem will be that most people won't have a connection good enough to support this.
Thats the reason why Bungie said they might have to pull it out, its not like them to put something into the game that only people with T1s can use.

Who feels that the reason for this is mosty/partly to do with the fact that xbox live is a scabby peer to peer service instead of Microsoft hosting proper servers? I'm in for one vote.
Microsoft has some of the best military grade servers in the world, when we connect directly to those it would still be limited to our connection speed. Plus if we had THAT GOOD of a service, then you would complain about how MS had to raise fees.

Although, I always find it comical when people reference "game distances" like 1 mile. hehe. Like what does that even mean in the game world. I dunno, just funny to think about.
a "virtual mile" to call it perhaps
Well in the 2007 E3 halo3 video, one person was one the ground fighting and there was a co-op buddy indicator on top of the scarab. Thats damn far.
