it says how to do TSOP flashing but what exactly is it? can you do everything u can with a chip.....mod halo, new dash, backup to system, apps on hard drive, play burned disks, ect?

It sounds to me like if you want to do everything you're talking about, you should just get the mod chip. You know, if you screw up that TSOP flash, you kill your Xbox (not that you can't kill your xbox with a chip).

I put a chip in my box, and can boot my box from the original bios (for xbox live -- haven't been banned yet), or my chip bios (using XBMC and emulators).

Just read the tutorials through a couple of times before you do anything!
