Don't bother.  It doesn't work with originals either.  It is an online issue, not a disc issue.

The thing that bothers me is that the only delay was for Crackdown users who were the only ones to actually pay money to play the Beta.  It should have been tested more extensively for the paying users.

I got up at five to play it and nothing.

Enough griping.  At least it will be online soon.

...You should have gotten that early this morning.  I got my email with the code at 2:05 AM this morning, started the download at 6:30, and it was done by 6:40 before I even left for school!

i didnt pay to get into the beta. I bought a kickass game that just so happened to have the H3 Beta in there. Its a perk so I'm not complaining. People are taking the Halo 3 Beta thing too seriously.

They probably wrote the code for the download button when Crackdown first came out and figured they'd remember to implement it correctly before the Beta was supposed to begin. That's why it's a Crackdown update and not a system update. Just a guess.

Absolutely... People are paranoid about "piracy" when in reality only 5% pirates without retail copy's in hand. As with everything with computers...updates sometimes cause problems. With that said, give me my mother fucking halo 3 beta, or I'm going to shoot up this joint.

I bet someone will get something from microsofts mess up, They did falsely advertise, And i bet its 100% on purpose, they wanted those VIP members to feel like VIP by getting in on it earlier than the rest and being able to lauph at all the crackdown users complain while they feel how good it is to be VIP.

there was no specific dates or promises made to crackdown users besides the promise of being eligible to participate in the beta preiod. if you own the game, read the invitation and see it for yourself.

to think that someone at bungie, m$ or mgs actually doesnt want those who legitimately deserves the opportunity to enjoy this game beta.

i bet it was simply a programming error.
