ya but you should also note the the only way to tell that it is a halo 3 beta invite, is that it has a sticker on the front and that card on the inside other than that there is no markings on the actual game package or the disc.
I have pics of everything if you want.

Indeed.
I should've noted...the image above is a scan of the card from inside the Crackdown case.  Otherwise, I didn't see any package markings indicating it has the Halo 3 beta invite.

So if no code is required, just the Crackdown game disk, could I rent this game and use it for the Halo 3 beta?

No, because rental places did not get the copies with invitations, and you need the game disk to play the beta.

Whoever said you needed the actual game disc to play the Halo 3 beta?

Oh and does that age thing still apply when you download the beta? Or is it that since you bought Crackdown, they'd think that you are 17?

How will the Crackdown invite work?

Once the Halo 3 beta has been activated (start date is still TBD) you simply go to the Downloads menu in Crackdown to download the Halo 3 beta. After that, you will need to launch the Halo 3 beta from within Crackdown. You will need an Xbox 360 with a hard drive and an Xbox Live Gold account.

Not because of that, it's because the game isn't even that bad to be M rated. Just some blood (no gore) and a couple swear words, that would probably be T rated. Besides, more than half the population plays Halo 2, and that half is people under 17. And yes parents approve buying this game for their kids because they look at the content and they realize that it's not like all the M rated games out there. It's happened to many people before, because I saw that happen like 10 times in my life. And barely anybody says the N bomb these days online, because who knows if you're white, black, hispanic, spanish, french, german, etc. What you say might change the way you play online. I mean DRIV3R got an M rating, only for violence! BULL!

I agree that Halo 2 isn't that bad as far as content, but I think they rated it M mainly to keep the annoying 10 year olds from getting the game.  I fear Halo 3 will turn out the same way.  I used to love Halo 2, but now I can't stand to play it because there is no such thing as a "friendly game" anymore, or at least I cannot find one.  All the pre-teens on there take it so freaking seriously and will not shut up for 5 seconds.  I'd much rather play something like Gears or Rainbow Six.  In those games (discounting clans) the majority of the people I play with are calm and don't act like they have conquered the world if they kill me.

theres no need to fear that halo3 might turn out like halo2 online: theres no need to fear because it WILL happen...

halo has that mlg crowd that makes everyone think theyre gods at it and that its something to be really proud of instead of just playing the game and having fun...

you need the actual Crackdown game disc to play the Halo 3 beta when it is released as it will be an active menu item at that time.

some rental places got H3 Beta Crackdown copies, so yes some rentals will play the H3 Beta while you have the game rented

and for some people that may have become bored with H2, it appears that it is more fun to de-level or trash-talk than actually play the game as it was intended, so hopefully H3 will remain fun on Live at least initially without those there just to screw around...but only time will tell
