QUOTE
masterskill: Group at the end with the wraiths(?); brutes, or some new folk?
Frankie: Brutes
Frankie: One has a hammer
Frankie: Those are Wraiths
Frankie: New Wraiths

It confirms that the creatures in the end were brutes,
QUOTE
Konrad: Frankie, WHERE does the trailer take place?
KP: The trailer takes place on earth.

that the setting for the commercial is Earth.

QUOTE
Konrad: Frankie, is the so-called Shield Grenade a game element?
Frankie: Nothing in the trailer was placed there by the agency - that is to say, every object and action was put in there with Bungie's consent and usually assets.
Frankie: Which you have t assume we wouldn't do without good reason, riht?

That the shield grenade will be a part of the actual gameplay.

QUOTE
ngel: My question: Are the models of the kids supposed to represent John and Kelly, and if so, is there a specific time frame that they're in, such as during a training op or something?
Frankie: The children at the start are there "for your interpretation."
Frankie: Are they young Spartans? Are they Earth kids from the 20th century? It is a question presented in the ad, not an answer

He said that the kids were left open to interpretation, but as stated before MC had never been to Earth as a child.

QUOTE
Veegie: What were the high pitches screaming during the time frame transition?
Frankie: The high pitched screaming was a transition to the explosion noise
Frankie: it was artsy

Also they confirm that its not the girl screaming its the hiss from the incoming rounds.

Just wanted to shed some light on our earlier discussion, smile.gif

To be completely honest, I think they should just stop advertising this game... it doesn't even have a release date and they're already having television commercials for it.

Do you remember what happened with Halo 2?  They over-hyped that game beyond belief; and with any game that is over-hyped comes the disappointment.  Totally different arguement that has been beaten to a pulp, but many were disappointed by it.

Halo 1 started this franchise and sucked so many people into it - did they advertise that game anywhere CLOSE to how much they hyped up Halo 2 and have begun to hype up Halo 3?

So many things changed from halo to halo 2 people were hard to accept the changes... they could have added new maps and XBL support and most would have been happy... I know a long time fan of Halo didn't like Halo 2 at first... because some of the controls changed... like the ghost for instance... I think that if you are a fan of Halo 2, then Halo 3 will not disappoint...

That's the part I dont want to hear - I was a fan of Halo 1, and not so much a fan of Halo 2.  I REALLY hope that they go back to their roots...

Enough of that BS lunging when meleeing too by the way  tongue.gif

Being that you wasn't that much of a fan of halo 2 you sure have an emblem that was widely used in halo 2 as your avatar...  smile.gif

It's just halo 2 lost something that halo 1 had. The more I play it now, the more I like it but at first it just wasn't as good.

I can't pin it down. I didn't like the graphics or ligthing engine as much as halo 1, the single player lacked the great outdoor levels.

Some people missed the pistol, I missed the AR. Many things about halo 2 were improved bur some great things were lost. In halo 3 they have the great music from halo 1, the multiplayer of halo 2 and the AR from halo 1 with the graphics engine that combinds the best of halo 2 and halo 1.

Halo 3 will not disappoint me at all.

Does anyone else miss the physics of being on the moon?  I cant get past how much fun driving the warthog used to be -- you hit something, you're going airborne.  It was always a question of what would happen when two warthogs hit each other head on.  I just feel like Halo 1 was more fun in general.

And yes, my avatar is a Halo 2 emblem... I wish I could see when I last changed that.  It was probably edited to be that about 2 weeks after H2 came out and was never changed again... beerchug.gif
