Also, about the people complaining there was no in-game footage even though Bungie said it would contain "live action and computer animated graphics". There was live action, you just misinterpreted the quote. The kids in the beginning are REAL people. They are actors placed in a CG environment. Hence, the LIVE action and CG. Live as in LIVING, CG as in....well, CG.

Its essential if halo 3 is going to follow triliogy rules with the complicated back story and all. Debunking something you thought was true from the beginning, but wasnt, ect

Fall of reach was great. If these kids are the cheif and another spartan, considering the identical black clothes I would guess they are on reach before it was glassed as kids prior to the bioargument.

Seeing as it was CGI I thought that it would be longer, I know it was said it was going to be 60s CGI a month before it aired but a whole 3 seconds was taken up by the halo 3 logo.

I want another 'real' halo 3 trailer, I can't wait till E3 or X07.

If the movie that's currently on hold indefinitely ever gets finished and released, I hope it looks as good as this. I loved it.

For those of you that have not read the books Master Chief Had never been to Earth until after he was a Spartan. THe scene takes place near New Mombassa which as I just stated Chief has never been to as a kid. He grew up on a colony far from earth. So that would lead me to believe that the boy is not MC. Maybe it echos in his head for dramatic effect.

I also do not think those are brutes unless there is an underclass of Brutes that we have yet to see. But I do believe the gun being held by the creature on the far right is called a brute pistol so IDK.

The Planet was Eridanus 2 (which was a human colony) and John-117 (MasterChief) was 6 when Lt. Keyes and Dr. Halsey met him.  I don't know if they were implying that those two kids were on earth.  Could have been a flash back MC was having when he was knocked down and his helmet was knocked off... they do those kind of things in movies all the time... you can hear the voices echoing while he is getting his helmet back on...

I don't know what growth hormones they feed you people in the US but those kids looked older than 9. Obviously not earth (if it is the cheif) but it is not Eridanus 2 either. It is is either the cheif (planet being reach) or not the cheif and it is earth (but it seems like a memory).

I dunno about this one.

Edit - why are they wearing the same clothes, I though the spartans in their early training had the same black clothes, bet you it is reach. Remember that reach wasn't entirely destroyed.

If is were Reach then why would the girl scream? Reach being an essentially entire planetary military base. Besides once recruited, John was no longer a kid, he bacame a soldier.They did give them growth hormones to be about 6 or 7 feet tall when they were 8 or 9. Those kids were small and not Spartanesc.


Edit Ozzy I thought that the entire planet was glassed, the surviving spartans and Dr. Halsey were in a forerunner structure underground letting them survive the glassing.
