I am surprised MS is even thinking of letting anyone in the public have a pre copy of halo 3. We all know someone will make a backup and distribute it early. If a pre release copy does reach the net I would not even think of connecting to live with it. Good way to get banned. If MS makes it a hard drive download that might offer them some additional security agaisnt this treat.

Halo 3 beta for US only?   I'm sorry but anyway you put it, it's just dumb. Are you saying M$ can't afford some European servers? They really should be kissing everyones butts as now they have competition from Sony and Nintendo (well amost...).

Did anyone even read what Twisted said on the first page?  Pretty much sums up the ACTUAL reasoning for US only testing...but this is the internet, so everyone is gonna bitch anyway.

I would think they would mail beta disc's not download cause only premium owners could test if it was downloadable....and it will probably be large....not HD movie large but still just another large dowload to bog down the Marketplace.

I'm signing up, this is awesome...hopefully I'll get Shadowrun too

Just so everyone from outside the US knows, read sicknastys quote above....  It comes straight from Bungie.net so you guys in Europe can settle down a bit... elsewhere could mean anything though.... probably Japan even though they will get a total of 0 people wanting to beta the game.

People go crazy way too much when it comes to video GAMES these days.  

I think that no matter what Bungie does, there is going to be a Halo uprising.

Playing the un-finished game would take away from the excitement of the game...I'd rather wait, and get the finished version.

Btw, if someone was stupid enough to put the Beta on Ebay in any form they'd have a law suit so far up their ass they'd be begging for mercy.

Things like mp3 players, cellphones, and a lot of cool new tech stuff. While you guys are paying 50 Euros for a brand new kick ass cell phone, I will have to pay 400USD for the same one or wait 6 months to a year.

The reason we get cheap mobile phones is becuase of the RIP OFF contracts that are attached to them. MP3 players... um we get the same world release like anybody else... no..wait dont the USA have the ZUNE Media device and it hasnt even got a UK release date yet?? not even thinking of releasing it in the next 12 months here??  and what cool tech stuff?? most the stuff in england sucks compared to the stuff the USA Plasma TV's are a prime example. i bet you get 50" Plasmas alot cheaper then us here in the UK. we even pay more for LIVE and 360 games then you lot. so just dont get me started. no offence mate but England is a RIP OFF
