Egm's 3 Weeks Of Halo 3
« on: November 07, 2006, 04:11:00 PM »

Different things about Halo 3, including Egm's trip to Bungie. Tomorrow they are putting up a "Multiplayer Map Analysis," detailing the different maps they played. Thought i would post the link. Enjoy!

Well its an early build duh, but still sounds depressing.  Im not expecting to be wowed though as they said they arent really concerned with graphics.  I still cant believe that the makers of the best xbox game I ever played really said that.

Honestly after buying Halo 2 before I played it, I'll be renting Halo 3 for sure.

I think they meant that they arn;t concerned with grafics at this point in the development process.

Exactly, these are pre-alpha tests for the game. Its just something 1up.com and bungie put to keep us satisfied until E3(or whatever its called now)

I agree. Right now they are concerned with making a solid game with good gameplay and putting real thought into the mechanics of the game. To me this is very promising. I'm not worried about the graphics. If they handle all the detail work at the end it will benifit from advances we are seeing right now. I'm sure this game will look superb. I'd be more worried if the graphics side of things was already done because that would be a reversal of the common process of game development. There is a reason the graphics are addressed last.

I was more worried about the gameplay and how they were going to address the issue of how some people like/dislike the feel of Halo 2 compared to Halo 1. From the reports we've seen, I think it's safe to say they are slaving themselves over it.
