Does Xbmc Support Nero Digital Yet?
« on: January 09, 2004, 10:28:00 AM »

Nero Digital is a new Mpeg 4 codec.

It uses Mpeg 4 for video and AAC for audio, wrapped in a .mp4 apparently.

XBMC supports Mpeg 4 and AAC seperately, does it support them when combined like this?  <

If that is the case, then just add the correct extension used to the XboxMediaCenter.xml (You'll see what I mean if you open the file).

Nero digital kinda works. The 5.1 sound is dodgy my rear right speaker is acting like the center speaker and my front right and left are acting like the rear speakers.

Weird...

I tried renaming it, .avi .mpg .mov.

Every time I tried to play it, the TV started playing a loud annoying squeal (sounded like feedback on a mic)

I was using an early Dec build of XBMC though...  <

I think mine is the last but one release (1st January).

I only did mine in stereo, chapters don't work either but I was happy just to get it to work.  <
