1.  No.
2.  I doubt it.  Do you not like it because the opponent can hear you, or because you get tired of 10-year-old Timmies screaming about pwning you?  I can't stand that.  I'm an old man, and that makes me cranky. I usually mute the talkative ones quickly.
The reason I ask...I think they will leave it in, but I also think they will add a feature; Opponent Mute.  This will just mute the opposing team for that game, not permanently.

Hopefully the feedback mechanism, along with the gamer zone of the LIVE service in the 360 will limit most of the sillyness once H3 is released.

That would be VERY nice... I hate not knowing which team is yours and just having to guess... plus having them hear what you are saying.... it kind of wastes the mic, doesn't it?

The pistol in Multiplayer!!  Not the Halo 2 pistol, the Halo 1 pistol.  Sure, let it be turned on and off, but HAVE IT!!!  It gave you a real chance right from respawn, right?
And no, I'm sorry, I don't know if it will or will not be in the game.  But I personally think there is a pretty good chance, given that MOST of the Halo community wants it.

every1 is always saying to bring back the halo1 pistol. now i agree somewhat and dont get me wrong, id love the pistol back, but with newer maps and newer gameplay the pistol might not balance or fit in with the gameplay.

I loved that game.. along with Medal of Honor: Allied Assault.  Got so twitchy playing those I could only play in short spurts to keep myself from tweaking out.
