has anyone elso noticed that the gun that the master chief walk onscreen with looks an awefull lot like the original assault rifle.
I think that it would be awesome havin it back, because I personally hate the battle rifle.

it would be nice to see some halo 1 weapons back and how can u hate the br? it was theonly weapon in halo2 that actually took skill.

Very true, but still not as much skill as the pistol (please oh please bring it back, along with the halo 1 bullet physics).

There should be all guns from both halos. Don't think I'm asking for much, just a bit a of variety.

I think that they should make a crapload of new weapons, because now that i think of it, there isn't very many weapons at all.

If they would just have a real halo classic option in mp everyone could be happy.

I finally got the trailer downloaded, and after watching it (loved it) i must say that is 100% the assault rifle to the T........now bring back the fing pistola.

they cant hav ethe old halo physics because they dont have the rughts to the halo engine.  thats why halo 2 feels so different.

you dont have to have the rights to some engine to make the game feel the same.  besides that, what makes you think they dont have the rights to the halo engine?

Definitely the assault rifle is back. That weapon pwned. Also I feel that the battle rifle from halo 2 is exactly the same power as the pistol from halo 1. Both got 2x zoom, both you can kill 3 shots in the head I think.

how can they not have the rights to an engine that they developed?  in fact the engine for halo 2 is a heavily modified halo 1 engine.  i also think its a safe bet to assume that they used the halo 2 engine for their base work when they developed the halo 3 engine.

also foe-hammer, what do you mean by bullet physics?  i loved both halos and understand and agree with a lot of the gameplay/game changes but i didnt notice any actual bullet physics (hell didnt even know it existed)

its a 4 shot kill with the br...

and they wanted halo2 to be more realistic physics wise and choose to give mc certain new abilities, thats why it feels "so different" (which i dont agree with btw... i find them to be very similar).. watch the halo2 behind the scenes disk and youll see why the physics are a bit different... not to spoil it, but it has a little something to do with most of the team not knowing anything about physics for the first one....
