Does anyone know anything more about the release date? Are they still going to release with ps3 and is the ps3 going to be launched in the spring or is it set back because of the blu-ray? Anyone know?

Its out: November 17th 2006.

Seriously.

Bungie may kind-of know/hav a month(s) in mind.

It's going to be released "when its ready", probably in a year or 18 months, maybe longer.

It is not coming out with the PS3, contrary to previous rumor.

Technically, Halo3 hasn't even been confirmed as a title in development. Now, we all now that they're working on it... but the point is that we're a long way from a release date.

It is going to release in 2007 (most likely). No one can give you an exact date because the only news that we have heard was from Bill Gates saying that it is going to release when PS3 comes out but Bungie said that was not true.

ok even if they said this is the date halo 3 will come out doesnt mean anything. remember halo 2. how many times did they push it back.

Halo 2 was never pushed back because it was never given a date by MS until E3 '04. EB/gamestop made up dates and started taking preorders more than a year b4 its release, they are 2 blame.

Infact the first glimpse anyone saw was the trailer they released at CES that year? or was it GDC? You know, the one where he ended up jumping from the ship and shows the covenant ships above earth, bombarding it.

Even at that time of the Trailer, no date was mentioned. Weofficially found out when Peter Moore exposed his tattoo at the MS press conference in May.

People will say the same about Gears of War....

It has never ever been given a date by Epic/MS.

it had to be more then just eb/gamestop giving dates. i never go into the stores. so halo 2 was a bad example. there are plenty of games that do get pushed back all the time.

I understand this, and yes, using Halo 2 isnt a good example, but 90% of the world believes that Halo 2 was pushed back as you do, so dont feel bad. They believe everything they read in magazines and on websites, and never considered that the Developer themselves never gave a date until E3 that year.

Just watch how many bitch and moan when they find out Gears isnt coming till late summer or even later.

"But it was supposed to be a launch title, and it got pushed back to March, and now this?!"

Alls Epic has said is "Emergence Day 2006" A date has yet to be given.
