If you look at this weeks update, you would see that essential developement tools for Bungie's newest project are still under developement.

I won't expect any word from Bungie until E3 '06.  

I think they have a long way to go and I will never believe any reseller's blind speculation.

I don't believe this at all. The way it looks is like its a crappy game that they just want to sell. Being so much of a popular series Bungie and Mircrosoft and the stores would not do this to the game. It would have MORE hype than Halo 2.

looks to me like they are doing the same thing with halo3 as with halo2, pulling a release date out of their ass just so they can start selling preorders
