yeah after reading the whole article you can see a couple of typos, no biggy as long as we get the point hes trying to make.

im sure many will say that his opinions are biased but he doesnt work for ubisoft or have any reason to lie on their respect.  and it would be understandable if he was downplaying any of the sony trailers but hes not, hes showing how impressed he is with them, only that they are very comparable to what recon 3 looks like which no one has seen any footage running on anything other then the alpha kits from E3.  i get the fealing that at X05 were going to be blown away by ghost recon running on final hardware, just look at what kind of jump other games have taken (dead rising, kameo, condemned, and pgr3) once jumping on to more updated hardware (beta or hardware).

I've seen the direct feed of MGS4, (parts of it has been shown on G4TV) and it looks as good as this guy is saying.

and i hope your right about bungie.  all they need to do is get rid of the arbitor and give me co-op over lan/live and all will be well. if they point to lack of power or unexceptable performance as their excuse to not include co-op i will lose a lot of faith in that team.

All they need to do to make halo 3 great is:

1) Increase back to 90 degrees Field of Vision.  I Fing hate halo 2's tunnel vision.

2) No rocket lock-on on land vehicles; just lock-on for banshee.

3) Battle rifle with semi-auto single round burst; not 3 round bursts (more like halo 1's pistol).  Need a human weapon like this, instead of the covey carbon.

4) Fall damage.

5) Smoother animation like halo 1.

6) More natural feel, like halo 1.

6) No lock-on/lunge melee.

7) Huge environments like halo 1's; where it makes you feel small in enormous infrastructures.

8) Leave bullet casings on the ground permanently, or longer like halo 1.

9) That’s all i can think of for now.....

Hell, i would be happier then poo if bungie just remade halo 1 with better graphics, a few bug fixes, and online support (too much bullet lag with the current tunneling software out).

9) Sys-link coop; like kage said.

10) Put the damn cross hairs (recticle) in the middle of the screen.

I like the idea of no lock on land vehicles...never thought of that before...I also think that the damage of the ride should be independent of the player in them....too many times have vehicles lived because of a quick getaway...

how can that work with the damage? if one person drives it, it should take more damage then if another rider drove the same vehicle?

i thought that they improved everything about the game from the graphics, AI, animation, controls, everything was refined and you could tell much work went into balancing and making everything feel right.  we all know the story will be better in halo 3 so that should be a worry.  and as long as they take out the arbitor and give me co-op everything else can keep the same progress.

Halo 2 multiplayer is much more ballanced than part 1.  I'm glad that whack ass pistol is gone with it's three shot kills from the other side of Blood Gulch.

the pistol in part one did leave a lot of the weapons useless.
