how can a game that never had a release date be delayed?!

this is just like fuggin Halo 2 shit that went on a year b4 its release!!!  grr.gif

we dont even know the ps3 release date...SONY doesnt event know it!

when an official date is given for halo 2, and bungie confirms it along with MS, then and only then will it be written in stone, and Im sure Peter will get another tattoo, lol

this will be halo 2 all over again. EB will post a assumed release date, and people all over the world will thinks its real, and back and forth and back and forth  grr.gif

Seriously....

I don't know if that article holds any weight, but I'd rather give Bungie more time instead of rushing them. A 2006 release of Halo 3 sounded way too soon to me back when Billy Gates brought it up.
A 2007 release around the time of the film means that Bungie gets an extra year to work with the game. And that to me is a plus!

And on top of that, it would kill any chance of Halo 4 coming out for the Xbox 360. That would make my one Halo per console generation wish come true tongue.gif

I wouldnt worry about halo 3, in terms of timeframe because it has been said that the halo team has been doubled to meet the release date and halo 3 is what halo 2 should have been. Halo 2 wasnt "finished" when it was released, Halo 3 will be the complete sequel so it would make sense if they were using the same engine just to keep the feel of the game intact ( a very importnat part of the halo formula).

I remember reading that Halo 3 will use the original Halo 2 graphics engine.  You know the one in the first trailer with chief jumping out of the spaceship (without the pickle-bomb)?  I heard they didn't use it for Halo 2 because only the devkits could handle it (more ram) and it ran too choppy on a stock Xbox (fromt the Halo 2 DVD I believe).  I don't know if that is a reliable source but I wouldn't be too disapointed.

Halo2 was never to look that good. They didn't not use it because Xbox couldn't handle it, but because that was a trailer video adn had nothing to do with the actual game. Nothing more, nothing less.

who cares , the longer they give it time , the better the game is going to be , and actually feel like HALO instead of the crappy HALO 2.
