I don't know if anyone has noticed this yet, but there is a new commercial on the XBox 360 official website and towards the end of the commercial it shows a really good looking masterchief walking through the room. What do you guys think? He looks kickass and extremely realistic.

He looks smalled legged because it's NOT from Halo 3. It's a person in one of the MC costumes.

they were also sending a message on halo2 live, right before you saw mc. god that commercial makes me want my 360 so bad right now

He's animated, can't you see him flicker in and out? I thought he was in a costume at first too. Then they show more game characters up walking.

He does flicker like the other CG people. Look at the Rocket. It looks generated. The way it moves and reflects light.

Its not animated its special effects, thats the nightmare armor and their version of the rockets

Yep, nightmare armor. He (Sid from Nightmare Armor) came to Toronto and the suit was really shiny, and he had a prop rocket launcher.

Just watched it.

Is it just me or at the start when the guy presses the UI button he moves his finger off it and you get a look at it for a pslit second. It seems to stay pressed in. SOrt of like those platic things you can put inside out and then after a while they pop back to their normal shape.

They used a real person in the MC suit because it was easier than digitally editing him in. They made it flicker to make it look like it was graphics. Look at the other CG characters, they were flickering a bit. They just used a real MC cause it was easier.

Those shots are definitely of nightmare armor and their rocket.

I think the commercial has been updated. I remember seeing it before, maybe in an E3 video, without the Gears of War dude and without Joanna Dark.

I think they added the flicker to the MC in order to make it go better with the new additions.
