My Music

Hey everyone!

I have the latest XBMC installed on my XBOX and there's a slight problem!  When I click on MY MUSIC, it doesn't go into the submenu displaying my folders and network links, but rather just stays on the top root menu and selects MY VIDEOS instead.

Anyone have any idea as to why this would be happening?  I seem to have my XML setup correctly (but that HAS to be it, doesn't it?)  All my other settings seem to work.

Thanks folks!

I have the same problem too, however if you change the skin to the other one (forget what it's called), then it seems to fix it.  <

Hi

Found this on http://www.xboxmediaplayer.de

QUOTE
I managed to get this working on my system by editing

\skin\MediaCenter\home.xml

find the section that starts with

<control>
   <description>My Music normal push button</description>

drop down half a dozen lines and change

<hyperlink>5</hyperlink>

to

<hyperlink>501</hyperlink>

save and ftp the changed file back to your xbox

It worked for me so give it a try!

Shouldn't this fix be able to do on other skins? like FlatStyle och MS MediaCenter Beta 1?

just change the hyperlink from 5 to 501?  doesn't seem to work here. Must be a way to fix it. (even if the build is new and the skin is old, I mean it still looks the same  in the .xml:s)

Damn I really want MS MediaCenter Beta 1 skin to work, it's really nice. (Have to have something nice to look at while I test this still bugfilled media player before I make my own skin)  <

Are you all using the 12/31/03 or the 01/02/04 version?  The latter has that issue fixed and superb smb support.  <

Yeah I have tried both the  12-31 and the 01-02 version.  Right now I'm running the 01-02 and the problem is still there.  <

Just use Hifi or MediaCenter skin with latest.

The skin developers need to update their skins for the new music layout.
