Wireless Access Point

Looking for help from anyone with networking expertise.  Had xns working with no problem.  xns://192.168.0.2:1400/  Installed a wireless router and using it as an access point.  Connecting to the network wirelessly ok, but can no longer get the shared directory.  In windows 2000 do an ipconfig /all and the new ip address is 192.168.0.2.  Try changing the xns address to this and nothing??  <

Did you by chance ever run the network setup wizard in XP? It usually firewalls your connection. Make sure you remove the firewall thing from that adapter.

edit:
Nevermind, i read your post again. Does 2000 have connection firewalling?

Do this, run ipconfig /all and note your network settings. Then change to a static address using the same settings but use the DNS address that your router has. You can usually check that in your router's admin "status" page.

Then just edit your MediaCenter.xml to have XNS point to the new address.

Check everything again. There's allways a good reason its not working.
