EPIC games is OFFICIALLY FUCKED IN THE HEAD dry.gif  dry.gif  grr.gif  mad.gif

THe one and only motivation to get the game should be the fact that the game is only available on 360 for now. NOT EXCLUSIVE EXTRA CONTENT.

I'm not going to spend hundreds of dollars to upgrade my pc just to enjoy gears on full graphics with extra content.
This is the original reason why i switched over to the xbox years ago from PC, to avoid stupid bullshit like this.

Taking advantage of all the 360 input for improvements and literally screwing over all the 360 players loyal efforts.


FUCK YOU EPIC GAMES.. you USE to be my favourite game developer. I feel, as many others, VERY VERY betrayed. Im not going to get UT3 any more. Don't want to deal with bullshit like this again.

man I totaly agree and thats why I moved to Xbox & 360 just to avoid all the upgrade hastle and avoid wasting £1000 on upgrading my pc & gfx, to find out that next month my gfx cant run latest games any more. That totaly sucks I'm not buying a game for a PC no matter how good it is.

Vista shit is ruining our games FTCW.

main thing i think that sucks about gears of war on pc  is it wont work on windows xp which is a stupid move on ms's part... i just hate how they basically forcing you to update to crappy vista to play the newest games made from microsoft.

As for exclusive content, I don't know anyone who doesn't find that to be annoying. With any game. The reason you port is to reach a broader audience, not to dance people who already bought the game around from place to place.


it will run on xp too. thus creating no benefit for MS and incredible annoyences for Gears fans

I'm not one to go all apeshit about things like this, I've been an outcast Mac user for years. But this royally sucks ass, sucks fucking ass. It was a short game to begin with, give us the rest of it!!!!

It's pretty lame how they call it "PC exclusive and 360 exclusive!" What next? "This game is going to be wii, ps3, 360, and pc exclusive!"

i might be the only one not TOTALLY bummed about this. sucks, but I will still play it on the pc. havent played anything on pc in ages. I used to be all about the pc.... hmmmm, times ah' change. bring on the gears!!

Believe it or not, but there are some of us who's situation is reversed. For me, I'd rather look into upgrading my comp than to buy a 360 just to play Gears and Lost Planet.  There aren't many 360 games that interest me except for those two, and maybe Halo 3. If I bought a 360 and got tired of those games, I'd have a $400 brick sitting on my desk. Not to mention there's the possibility of the hassle of the RROD.

And I am primarily a console gamer....I'll probably even play Gears on PC with a 360 controller because that's what I'm used to.

Which is fine, really. But should you get the extra content exclusively? I'm all for the game going to PC, but at least share around the goods! Isn't this exactly the opposite of what Microsoft was aiming for with this cross-platform ideas of theirs? Instead of combining the user base, you're segmenting them beyond what it began as!

I'm surprised Microsoft decided to let them have some airtime on their conference, to be honest.

They teased us with this footage in the early Gears of War trailers for Xbox 360. Now they're only releasing it to PC users, what the fudge.

But I'll definately give it a go. I just got a new PC  cool.gif  EVGA NForce 680i LT SLI motherboard, Intel Core 2 Duo E6600 2.4Ghz processor, 2GB Corsair DDR2 800mhz memory, ATI Sapphire X1950 Pro  biggrin.gif  Can't go wrong; though soon I'll be going NVidia with an 8800 GTS. The X1950 Pro is good, but the 8800 GTS is awesome.
