Filezilla Server - Http No Worky
« on: December 26, 2003, 04:03:00 PM »

Have searched and not found any info on http'ing to my xbox via xbmc so need to post smile.gif

How do i get the http admin to my xbox to work. atm while my xbox is running MC at main screen I can ftp to it, but can't http - my browser locks up/becomes unresponsive then gives up :/

Should it just work with http://192.168.0.2 so long as I have enabled ftp & http in the 'settings'?

xbox/pc setup as follows

pc ip = 192.168.0.1 (using 2nics & ics but static - netowrking is fine)
xbox ip = 192.168.0.2
xecutor 2.3 Lite & 4979 repack Bios
Evox 3935 (working perfectly)
Latest XBMC 12-11-03 working well and using XNS to my PC (XboxMediaCenter.xml config'd to my liking)
Untouched FileZilla Server.xml atm, but ftp'ing while in XBMC works fine

Any explanation of the below might help
<FileZillaServer>
<Settings>

xbmpzilla

192.168.*.*

Well, all you can really do is start and stop media from the web browser. And as far as getting it to work, I could be wrong, but the FileZilla.xml is for the FTP server, not the HTTP one. To start it, just make sure under Settings>General you have the dot next to HTTP. When thats done, type in http://192.168.0.2 or you may want to try http://192.168.0.2/default.asp.

im aware the web interface doesnt do much atm, but one day it will tongue.gif

have tried both the http url's you suggested, have re-copied the ..web folder over from a fresh evox and even tried putting an extra web folder in c:appsxbmcweb (my xbmc is on f:appsxbmc) but nothing helps

is it possible my current Bios doesn't work with it...should i try the Evox M7?

Is the Web Server activated in Settings --> General? (need a reboot after activation)

yeah, its activated and been rebooted/power off the lot sad.gif

Have also tried unticking the ftp server activation to see if having both activated at the same time might have been the problem, but no joy there either
