I'm good at the campaign. I just don't know why but i pretty much suck at Gears Multiplayer. It's like different from GRAW and HALO and all ... Anyone else crappy at it? I want to get better but I don't like playing with ppl who are way better than me. I want to play just for fun to get better at Multiplayer. So, send me a FR on XBL if you want to play with me to get better.

Yeah, a few friends on my list say it's way different and have a hard time getting kills also. They only play the campaign really.

I don't like joining in some random game to get my a$$ kicked ... lol, i'll run into a good game every now and then. But not often. I was in a room the other day playing for awhile and got 1 kill and 1 down. PATHETIC! Some young punk was like just quit, you suck! I'm like well, I'm having fun trying! This dude had like 19 kills to everyone's like 7 ... and my 1. WHOO! *It wasn't even a ranked game.* BUT, after awhile of nonstop sucking, it gets old. I'm going to start a clan like ummm... GoW Multi Tards IDFK grrrrrrrrrrrrr.

Anyone that's having trouble getting kills too, or isn't very good at it, or just anyone laid back that plays for fun and doesn't mind playing w/ someone sucky ... ADD ME!

I go up and down, maps and weapons make a difference I have played maybe 5 ranked games but usually just play with my friends in player matches. We play for fun and it never gets too serious. Kills will come as you get more and more used to the game. Its not a run and gun like most games cover is essential. and the dodging is a good skill to get down too. When the game sucks is when you have a guy just run around with the shotgun, and jump at you, shoot and get a headshot. I have not played it yet so I doubt that I am any good. My friend is ranked like 63, thats pretty amazing. He will probably kick my ass when I get it.

i know how to pull of a headshot, but i still like to keep it fun.
the game experience is ruined pretty fast if you have some of those ppl that start smacktalking, and crying about stealing kills and points and all that shit. if anybody wants to have a fun game, maybe pick up a couple of thing's just holla.

I always ask myself if I am hunting or being hunted. If I can't see anyone and I'm just wandering around I usually feel like someone is hunting me . . . that's bad. If I catch a glimpse of someone running I try to anticipate where they are heading, like a weapon or sniper spot, and then cut them off on the way. Let the others come to you rather than running around in the open the whole time.
Anther good idea is to watch for bullets streaming or smoke grenades going off and flank toward where they came from. If you see someone bleeding out on the ground don't run up and try to steal the kill, wait for the killer to come up to them and then toss a grenade between them both. Then you curb stomp two people. It's a lot easier said than done, but it's all about strategy. Working as a team is alway better than being on a team and working basically alone. If you have a newbie on your team hang back and follow him. Guaranteed he is going to draw fire soon from others and get himself killed, but in the process he will draw the enemy toward him while you flank. If two of you are crouched behind the same wall or box you are as good as dead. Once in a fire-fight don't just exchange fire, it's 50/50 odds. Instead wait until they crouch behind cover and then use smoke grenades to move laterally in opposite directions than your team mate. One of you keep him shooting at you from the original location while the other circles for an exposed shot. Eventually they will realize that they are exposed and their only chance is to either charge at you or run for it, but their odds of surviving at that point are slim if you both move in on them. Always try to start a fight when you have 2 against 1. Take turns getting kills and watching each others back.
Best case scenario is to pin one guy down with fire while your team mate moves to the side and uses the hammer of dawn.
Realistically there are so many kids out there that play this game online without parents monitoring them and they get so good at how to win that normal gamers have to work together to kill them. It sure is fun to curb stomp them though.

Do you want to keep getting frustrated in GoW MP (shotgun is useless at close range, and bullet lag up the wazzo)? Then don't host.

I've never played a game of this calibur with such host advantage in my life. Don't get me wrong, i love Gears MP, but hate it over xbl when the host has a crappy internet connection. I just wish there were some sort of indicator (ping) that would let you know what kind of connection you were getting with the host.

If you want to play a fantastic 360 MP game that is non-host friendly, then get CoD2 (CoD3, sorry....not nearly as good of MP).

i've only played one game that had significant lag. the rest have been great, even better than halo 2 matchups. it seems i do get more kills when i'm host or maybe it is just coincidence seeing i've only hosted 3 games or so.
