Getting My But Kicked

Damn but this game is hard. I don't think I've ever been killed more times in the tutorial level. Any helpful hints  for somebody with slow reflexes?

Graphics are gorgeous though...

Move slow, methodically, tactically, and with purpose and patience. Cover=Life. Not only does it provide protection, but a relatively safe way to gun the Locusts with blind fire or precision.
