EA has the same title every year with a new number on it.
creativity and innovation are the last thing somebody from EA should be talking about. the whole reason they bought the rights to NFL games is so they didnt have to think of something better to put in their new games.

NEED for SPEED
madden
mlb
fifa

everything is the same game, with new rosters and cars.



get out of the business you EA bastards!!!

Sorry for bring the thread back up but had to come in defense of this game..... I have not been excited about a game since..... never. This game has been on my wishlist for a year, I finally got it this afternoon.... my wife kicked me of the plasma to watch a movie grr.gif I have been on it for 4 hours and my eyes still burn from not blinking.  I burn through about 2 games a month and never play them again, I can see myself playing this over and over and having my brother come over so we can mess up the locust co-op style.
This game has impressed me, it has impressed my 50 Y/O mother so much she is buying it for her 360, thats saying something.

last year, but they're done until the 360/ps3/wii are done and they rebuild from the ground again. it will just be roster updates more then likely until at least 2011.

i'm absolutely loving gears though, i can't belive they said it brings nothing to the table.

Second there isn't really a lot of innovation. I'd agree with the active re-load and the chainsaw gun. However most everything in this game has been done before. Play Kill.Switch for either the xbox or the PS. The gameplay mechanic in Kill.Switch is the same as gears of war , take cover and shoot. It works pretty much the same too.

That being said, gears of war does this much better than any other game to date. I love this game and think it's amazing. Not just because of the graphics, but because it's a lot of fun. A game doesn't have to totally re-invent the wheel to be good, or great for that matter.



they refer to it as "2nd person".... not that it matters, point is, it is not FPS, so you're right on that,... but it does play more similar to a FPS than to a 3rd person, if you asked me....

I don't believe it's possible to put the words "EA", "creativity", and "innovation" in the same sentence without it being derogatory towards EA in some way.

Keep rehashing your old shit, EA. You'll figure it out someday.
