As most of everyone that has played ranked matches know it's impossible to join a ranked game with friends... this is due to a policy set by M$ to try and stop cheating... Epic says a party type system may be available in an update as they are considering it.

That would be a great addition... Ubisoft said that adding a party system to GRAW via a downloadable patch wasn't feasible though.  But maybe they just didn't give a shit.
