I cannot stand the camera controls! I dont like the point of reference for camera control to be behind the character, I want the character to be the point of reference. When i press left on the camera analog stick i want the damn camera to go left, and not right like it does.......is that too damn much to ask? All 3rd person games i played allow for this. How would you like to drive the warthog in halo, and have to press left to go right? I cannot believe Epic would have left something so simple like this out.

I just hope epic gives a patch that allows for X-axis switching.

Er.. There are options for legacy and left handed legacy? Maybe I don't quite understand what you are talking about? Also the camera is controlled with the right stick... I believe thats the Y axis and you can change that.

All I really know is when I push left.... It goes left. So maybe I just don't understand?

That was just one of the reasons I didn't care for Gears... my concern wasn't addressed so I traded in my copy of Gear.. it's to bad.

I too usually have my x axis reversed which gears offered (legacy) but it felt weird and I think that's where the camera (point of reference view became a problem next)

Stick with it if you like the game... you'll get the hang of it.

Hmm.. When I press left, the camera looks left... Don't know what setting is jacked up on your box but my look controls are right.

There is a way to invert the Y axis for those weird people.

yeah I dont get it either. You press left you go left. WHy would you want the opposite? you can chance the Y-axis for your gun recticule in the options because the moment you press down to go down or up to go down the game remembers wat you chose and uses that based on what you pressed. It's nifty but if can be changed.

False alarm!

I was going off from what my brother was relating to me. I though it was just the opposite as the camera control when you are driving the warthog in halo, but come to find out it is exactly the same. Sorry for the poo flinging; i'm getting gears tomorrow, and was disgruntled about hearing the camera was reversed. But all is well now.

And Teddy, you are so fing cool.
