near the end of this video interview he is asked what is next after finishing GoW and he replies he imagines he will begin work on GoW2!  i hope this to be true and with how much MS is backing this game i wouldnt be surprised.  has anyone already confirmed this title to be a trilogy like so many other games being released?

When the hell is Emergence Day?!   I've had GoW on reserve since the OurColony days.  I can't take this waiting anymore!

in the MTV GoW special, the scene that shows Bill Gates and CliffyB talking outside had Bill asking if the game would be ready to ship for this fall and Ciffy said he would get it done.  so i would expect in late fall, the closest to christmas as possible.  i understand your frustration though, i wanted this game so bad for the longest time and when i read/heard about how much effort they are putting towards the co-op aspects i wanted it that much more!

What's that about anticipation being the best part?  Yeah... anyone who says that is perfectly sane
But what Kage said... sounds right to me.  I'd heard other places before the MTV special that this was the projected launch date, so it sounds very likely to me.

it was never intended to be a launch title.  that was only an assumption that people created E32005 because the game seemed far more along then any other 360 title, so they assumed it would be a launch title, which was never the case.  

between classes, summer, and work i have plenty to keep me busy until the game is launched.  what games i do have is enough for me on my minimal free time.

Did anyone see this possible connection with "emergency day"? Couldnt they mean 9/11 because it is a emergency number emergency date for the towers? any slight connection? huge marketing plan

I don't think MS would use 9/11 as a marketing ploy. That is just classless and shitty.

Rather, I think the release of GoW and Halo3 are going to be timed to coincide with the PS3 release.

I'm gonna chime in and say yes it 's 9/11 and yes we need to move on. We can't just block out 9/11 because some horrible things happened that day. On many fronts, releasing a game on MONDAY (the day games usually come out) shows a testament to the intergrity of americans to cope and heal.

If we blocked all dates out that innocent americans were killed, games would have half the possible release dates. Hell, my birthday would be a day of mourning.

Keep in mind, the game releases 9/11. Probably with a game of this magnitude, it will be street dated meaning most retailers will get this the week before, or (unlikely) it ships 9/11 and is on shelfs by 9/12.

A game of this magnitude takes years to develope.
I doubt we'll see a 3rd title GOW this generation.
(Actually I hope not. I like my blockbuster titles spread out a bit, at least in 2 year intervals)
