On the start grid when I first started her up I must confess I was disappointed graphically - but that impression soon changed.
I'm lucky enough to own a Porsche 911 and drive it on tracks in the UK, and I can positively say that the physics on this game are
very realistic - infact they are excellent. The car slids beautifully if you prompt oversteer, understeers perfectly if you push too much speed into a corner, brakes are exactly what they should feel like when on track - none of this brake hard and you magically stop from 150 mph in 10 metres ... Can't wait to try the GT3 ...
Any 911 driver will obviously know that all the weight is on the rear meaning excellent traction out of the bends - and this is true to the game when compared to the E36 M3 for example (that struggles for grip).. phenominal ..
Thumbs up from me - who needs perfect graphics when the GAMEPLAY of this game is that good ..
Not that the graphics are bad - infact I'd say they are substantially better than PGR3 - but they look basic compared to the screenshots of PGR4 ...
I'm off to play it again ...
