the rumor was that it "drops" today...

Last month's OXM said it would be available "in an upcoming issue".

The rumor was that it would be the February issue, which is supposedly released today... thanks for reminding me I'll have to go check some places on my way home from work today

ill give a look myself.... really want to check this game out... even though i know its not going to be anything amazing, but still, FF is my roots, so it wont be that bad.

the one with full auto demo and kameo is the January edition...

from how it was described the February edition will have 2 discs instead of 1, one disc is the normal OXM disc and the other is the FFXI Beta disc.

According to the UK OXM site the beta disc and next issue will be available on Monday the 9th. I'm still gonna go to borders and check. They also stock the US OXM so may be able to grab that if the UK ain't available yet.

and you can read up all the stuff you need on the site.... and you WILL need a HDD to play it and GOLD account they say on OXM's site but... Square say you only need silver account so god knows whats going on there.

If you read correctly. M$ says Gold acounbt , Square says GOLD for free, or Silver account, but you will have to pay for the beta testing

I've Called Gamestop and Eb they haven't gotten any New OXM's in.

its "supposed" to be available today so you may want to walk into a local grocery store or walmart and check them. different stores stock magazines on different days so who knows. the beta opened officially on the 5th but im not exactly sure who it was opened to.

the playonline beta site says the game supports a usb keyboard and mouse but ive read nothing about headset support. it makes sense though. picture being in a large town with a bunch of characters. everyone yelling at the same time would be extremely confusing where with only typed messages, you can simply pick out of the bunch which message you want and see who its coming from.
