The pugilist simulator wowed the E3 crowds with some of the only actual in-game footage from the PlayStation 3, and everyone who saw it will remember the impressive life-like visuals it displayed.

EA said that the release date on Sony's platform is TBD. So, if EA holds firm to its planned release date of Q1 2006 (calendar Q1, that is), then Fight Night Round 3 will debut on Xbox 360 before it appears on PlayStation 3. Sony has hinted its next-generation system will debut as early as July 2006.

I still haven't seen the tech demo thats been wowing people, but I never realised it was a PS3 exclusive (or thought to be) , I was wondering why people were getting in a tizzy hehe

It's gonna be one to watch for an early inter-console comparison tho.....

yeah i never thought it was a ps3 exclusive either.  either way good news but i found out about this a week ago when my little bro got his gameinformer so i thought it was old news    

in the mag they have a huge articel about it and have said that after only a few months of development the level of detail on the 360 is already matching the ps3 version.  think about it, the game has been in development longer on the ps3 and its already looking as good on the 360!  all of you non believer sony zombies will see.

I always figured they'd release it completely cross platform (like Round 2 did) probably end up on the PS2... Xbox.... DS... PSP etc... I heard the PS2 version has better graphics than the 360

i thought all the rendered movies (all but two of the ps3 vids) were running on renderware and the two actual real time demos (UT2k7 and fight night) was running on two Gforce in SLI.  i mean real time is real time no matter what its running on right and whatever it could be running on at E3 would pale in comparison to whats going to be in the 360 and ps3 right? if im thinking wrong then please go ahead and correct me

Actually, Fight nigh and Unreal were the ONLY games actually running on ps3 dev kits at e3 and fight night looked VERY impressive.

Well it inspired me to get the xbox verison and it kinda spoiled things for me. You see, the xbox version looks BEAUTIFUL and after seeing that ps3 version, the e3 demo dont look that impressive to me anymore. Not that big a leap graphically, just higher poly counts.

Yea, I saw the tech demo on G4 in slow motion. You can see the Oh Shit! expression on the boxer's face as he is suckerpunched.
