I think it does but it's toned down a lot during gameplay. it's more noticable in the realtime cut-scenes between battles in story mode.

you're gonna love it...  smile.gif

The boss character is really cheap but not TOO bad ones you figure out how to beat her.

But that graphics are just AMAZING, if you just stop and look around while playing the game it's incredible how good the clothing and arena's look. Also it's VERY solid, as in glitch free, the extra time they took testing the title before release really paid off.

the effect is called depth of field and when done correctly its VERY expensive, when done badly but heavily controlled its fairly cheap either way it requires in the order of several million pixels to be re-rendered which is never an easy thing.

...probably why it's not used as much during actual gameplay

thanks for the insight beerchug.gif

Here is a snapshot I took during the game....
This looks kind of like the effect that you are after....??

I thought it looked pretty cool.  Its hard to grab a good picture
with the characters moving around so much!

Is there a way through the dashboard to view snapshots taken in DOA4?
Or can you only view them through the game?

I believe you just go to the media blade, choose photos and select the Xbox 360 Hard drive.

I could be wrong and I have no way to check (not at home right now) but if you can that's how you'd do it.

EDIT: And on that note MS REALLY needs to give us a way to export the pictures we take in game. That fact that GT4 on the PS2 will let you save out to a USB stick and my 360 can't is just EMBARRASSING.

when you go to watch mode and take pictures, depending on your camera settings, you can get that dof effect, as well as motion blur. Looks pretty tight.
