I can't use a web browser using Linksboks.

Would it be possible?

I really have to learn how to do this stuff.

You don't need the sourcecode for msn messenger, you just need to know the protocol and how to implement it. There are numerous opensource instant messaging programs that support the msn protocol. Take Gaim for example, it can connect to aim, icq and msn and it's opensource.

Yep.  GAIM is open source and it communicates with IRC, AIM, ICQ, Yahoo, MSN, Jabber, etc.
