Problem With Friends/public Slots After Game Update

the game updated automatically and then i got all the new maps.  i go to host a map and i wanted to put the friends slots to 0 and have 7 public slots, but it'll only let me set it between 3 and 7?  WTF is this about?  Anyone else having this problem?
