I haven't seen this listed on here so I hope this isn't a repost but a friend told me of a way to unlock all levels in COD2.  

You have to be in single player on the mission select screen.
Hold BOTH shoulder buttons (not triggers)
On the D-Pad press LL RR YY

That's it.  All levels should be unlocked.  I did this last night after beating Hill 400 and getting sent back to basic training because I wanted to finish the game, but once I beat the game it didn't give me my gamer points.

I also had to use the cheat after being thrown back to an earlier level. I need to play the 2 tank levels to complete it.

I was two missions away from beating the game on hardened, which should have awarded me the war hardened achievement, when my games were erased.  If I use this level unlock will it unlock the levels with all the difficulties enabled?  Will I be able to simply complete the last level to get my achievement?

From my experience with 360 games and cheats you don't get your gamerpoints if you use them... I tried after I beat quake 4 to go back one general and play certain levels with certain guns those never unlocked... nor did i get credit for beating the first act.... I guess the achievements get disabled when the cheat is activated.

No, I don't think you get the gamer points.  this was my reasoning for being so mad about it.  I was 1 level short of beating the game.  I lost all progress.  Used the level cheat to pick up where I left off, beat the game and did NOT get the gamer points....
