Lack Of Multiplayer Options On Cod2

Anyone else notice the lack of multiplayer options on COD2? I really hate how it shows the kills on the center of the damn screen...getting in the way of gameplay, with no way to disable that. Thats one of the few things I see wrong with this game... its fun to play still, but lately its been a pain to get into any game on Live (what gives???) and once I do get into a game its laggy as hell.

I want to know why there is no option for a friend to joint online as a guest from the same system via split screen like COD3.? Also getting online is hard here, but I'm starting to think most people just ran over to COD3.

Plus I don't know, I like knowing I've killed my target. In COD3 when you kill an enemy its up to your imagination unless you see them down or check your score leaving you open to assualt. I also hate the way the cross hairs go red giving away hidden positions just by a player scrolling around aimlessly. LAME. At least this is killing me on COD3.
