I heard of projects attempting to turn the xbox into a PVR. How in the world do they get the signal into the xbox to process? theres no input. am i being stupid or r the guys quacks?

Yup, indeed.

Although the Xbox doesn't do USB 2.0, so you won't be able to do any 'really decent quality' recording sadly...

could potentially be done over a network using a computer with a TV tuner.  The problem is with writing the program to help the xbox communicate with the TV tuner over the network and dealing with huge bandwidth requirements.

Edit: But if you already have that, then why not just use the computer as your PVR?

it won't look good esp. on my computer... 1.3 ghz 256mb sdram 10gb hardrive(old one is now in my xbox   :D )
