Halo: Reach Help
« on: August 22, 2010, 07:20:00 AM »

Hey guys, I know i just joined today but please dont look at me as a leecher. Okay, I have downloaded Halo Reach and the file is a .XCP file (Xbox Compressed Package) and i have no idea how to decompress it. Ultimatly i would like it to be a ISO image but IK that might not be easy. So just the content out of it so i can get to the default.xex and the other files would be great.

If you have any advice please let me know.

You do realize that you'll all get banned discussing this? These forums are for discussing games, not discussing piracy and how to get it to work.

Yeah, the Whistleblower f*g is sort of right.
So instead what happened was you backed up your legitimately purchased copy of halo reach, and then somehow caused the backup to go into an XCP format. Unfortunately, right after the first backup, your ripping drive stopped working temporarily, so in the mean time you can only work with the xcp file.

I've never encountered an XCP file, but in any case I'm sure DVDdecrypt or Qwix will do the trick.

Not really helping your account status here either, he was right to give them a heads up that this pirate kiddie talk is not welcome here or do you want their accounts to get banned?

Are you on something? There is no way in hell that could have happened! XCP files are 'Xbox Compressed Packages' that are normally encrypted and are used for Xbox 360 downloadable games from Marketplace, as well as XNA I think. The Reach files where hosted by Microsoft on the Live Servers for reviewers unencrypted and people with JTAGs found out how to get them, I heard a token on Pnet was also used to find it as well. What you said is not just implausible but just plain retarded.

Edit: he also already said he downloaded it so what are you trying to do?

The op has had his account suspended and trees has been issued a warning.  Piracy is not tolerated nor are personal attacks.
