For some reason I cant get my jtag console to accept the update on this game.
Apparently it is just an avatar update but when it reboots it still says it needs to update.
I don't have R6T3 removed so need to be careful. Does any one know the answer, I've read where someone just downloaded the 8955 update and applied it via usb btu they had bypassed the resistor, I can't risk it if I'm not 100% sure.

You should always remove all files from the $systemupdate dir. SPECIALLY when you havent removed the R6T3 resistor. Your console shouldnt ask to update anymore once you have cleaned that map.

Thanks man. I got it to accept it from the second disc in the end so the problem was with the first one.

I don't recall saying it was a backup I was using.............how did you know? lol laugh.gif

Now, to work out why I didn't try the originals? wink.gif
