Hey guys,
I'm getting a mod chip installed in my XBOX tomorrow, and I'm excited about all the possibilities of my newly modded XBOX. Anywho, I have a very large internet pipe, and am a very active member of the open source community. To promote various distros of Linux, I like to leave as many torrents open as I can of the various Linux disc images, utilizing my unused bandwidth to support the GNU community. The problem with this is, my home PC isn't the fastest, so contributing on any more than 2 or 3 Linux torrents while I run seti@home can slow my computer to a crawl.
So I thought, if I could use my XBOX as a torrent appliance, it could just seed the distros I like to support until the end of time, without lagging my PC in the least! With that being said, what is the easiest way to get up and running in spreading the free, open source love on the XBOX? Is there a torrent client that acts as a plugin on any of the dash boards, or would I actually need to install Linux to help distribute open source?
Whichever the case, I'd really appreciate anyone pointing me in the right direction. I practically have the equivelent of a few T1's sitting around unutilized, might as well use the bandwidth to help out a Linux file swarm, or some other unfunded open source distrobution project.
