Crackdown Won't Load Any More :(

Not played it in ages, put the disc in today and just after you press start and it loads your profile from the hard drive it froze....... i switched profiles to my gf's and it loaded fine so its not the disc, i tried deleting my save but that hasn't helped, any one have any ideas ?????
