and the Xbox 360 only had 2 titles win. Not that it matters Spike/Viacom/CBS can be bought like a cheap hooker. Mass Effect best RPG it was nominated before it was available. Super Mario Galaxy is obviously the true Game of the Year, guess Nintendo didn't think they needed to bribe anyone for awards as they are doing fine. Every other game on that list is multi platform so there is really no losing console.

exactly, this list is quite bogus - purely a PR stunt.

but what else do you do when your list matters very little to the gaming community anyways?

 The main element the clasifies a game as an RPG is an experience system (leveling up, etc). Clearly, Bio Shock is a FPS. Mass Effect has many elements from an action rpg.

Bioshock is a beautiful game, but a real chore to play - making it utterly useless to me in the end.

Call of Duty 4 should have gotten GOTY IMO. Best shooter award was kind of a no brainer.

Halo 3 sucks ass as did Halo 2 and shouldn't even have graced this 'list'.

I totally agree with the award given to Orange Box however. Vaulve rox!

did anyone else actually watch the awards? Sure the awards are bogus but the event was alright. I liked how they had a pit orchestra playing classic video game music. . . and Tommy Tallarico on an electric guitar wishing he was rocking out.
