Heck, nobody knows... Kojima itself is telling that MGS4 is a PS3 only title yet some online game shop put this as a preorder and everybody stick his "I want to believe" pin.

This doesn't mean anything. I remember seeing a PS3 version of Final Fantasy 7 listed on Best Buy's website right before the PS3 came out.

It's not gonna happen, or Sony are trying to keep it secret untill its been released and everyone's bought a PS3 for it. If MGS4 comes to 360, no-one who wants it will buy a PS3 for it.

If it turns out to be 8 discs, that would be a slap in the face to the pirates. Imagine them doing the math for comparing the cost of 8x DL-DVDs compared to the cost of the retail game

probably $16-25 in DL-DVDs.

No kidding, halo 3 legendary box has 3, maybe 4, discs in it; and think of how awesome it looks (even if you don't like the game). If they put the same amount of collective value in a limited edition of MGS4 (with those 8 dvds everyone is talking about), I would buy it just for the case.

Where not getting Virtua Fighter or DMC4, remember when that was said? Konami will have to factor in the expense of this game. They will look at ROI, if that is not financially worthy it will release. 11-12 million potential sales, you think a Sony deal could ofset their gain? 11mill x $60. I think not. I have heard game makers say games are exclusives before then release the game on said platform

Ok, 1 DL dvd = 8.5 Gb, so 8 DL dvd = 68 GB, MGS4 will be multi-disc in the PS3 then? If not, shut your mouth, please.

Some would also argue that MGS and Halo are equally overrated.

I'm not a huge fan of FPSs but at least they have some replay value, it has yet to be seen if the new MGS multiplayer features will actually deliver.

Also I've found that most games that let you toggle views either only do one or the other well. or they'll do them both so-so and nether one really well. It just changes the gameplay mechanics so much that it rarely works out well for both.

Personally I'll take 3rd person over 1st any day of the Week. but playing through Oblivion I just couldn't be bothered playing it in 3rd person because it was so garbage. Having played MGS 2 and 3 I can say that I felt that they fell into the category that neither mode was horrible, but neither mode was all the great either.

The rumor is that Konami is having a completely separate team perform the port and that Kojima isn't involved with the 360 version at all.

Well it was just a ball park figure since MS only uses 7.05GB per each dual layer DVD because of whatever reason they chose, if you don't believe that is the correct amount look at any backup of a 360 game.

So the most data they could have on 8 DL DVDs is 56.4GB NOT 68GB

The BluRay disc that Konami is using may or may not be dual layer i dont know

We all know that BluRay is 50GB for 2 layers and if it was done using all 50GB the 7 DVDs would not be enough space at only 49.35GB
it would be really close but with code conversion one could easily expect that the code would increase in length and therefore size and then they would also have to have some redundant data on each disc that would also take up some more space as well.

Essentially yeah I was, but since he decided to provide some negative feedback about it so I backed up my 8 disc claim with some facts.
