Infinity Ward have since released a statement on their forums saying:

"I know there has been an uproar regarding the fact that the Public Beta may be restricted only to US residents. I wanted to give you guys an update and let you know that this is currently an unconfirmed statement, as details on Beta limitations are still in the works.

I will update you PERSONALLY when we have an official confirmation on Beta Limitations so bare with me while I get this all sorted out for you guys.

More info coming soon."

So hopefully IW will let us UK residents have a go on the beta

whats the point of a beta if its not going to provide feedback of the real world usage. I am in the UK and am always playing with yanks.... so not having us Europeans on the beta makes it pointless, might as well just be a systyem link test.

as for the update, it reads that the pc test will be global, 360 not. so what dissapointment they take away they replant squarely in your nust shortly after.

Great, more bullshit from the US. They do realise that they've got a ton of xbox players from other countries right? The games are not played by americans only. Everyone should be allowed to play the beta.
