if you haven't played oblivion.. id say without a doubt, get that.

PSU is more for online, however does have a single player campaign.

you might want to check out enchanted arms, although it's a JRPG, it's battle system is very oldskool.

PSU is pretty cool, especially since you can get it dirt cheap, i've never played it online though.

Oblivion is great, you can probably pick that up pretty cheap too.

Enchanted Arms is also a nice game as grim_d suggested, it's more like older FF games gameplay wize. Played it until I got all 1000 points  smile.gif

The game itself is like FF(ish), however the battle system takes from older ps1 RPG's, like vandal hearts, with it's grid based movement.

I never liked RPG's but Oblivion got me hooked, saying that i would wait and get Two Worlds, RPG plus online multiplayer as well
Or get Oblivion later this year when the "Oblivion game of the year" is released

They're all differen't kind of RPGs.

Oblivion is a Western style RPG
Enchanted Arms is a JRPG
and PSU is a Adventure/RPG/MMO

Oblivion's setting is medieval, it controls like an FPS and the battles are all in real time. The missions are very open ended allowing you to go anywhere in the world at any time and complete missions and subplots in the order you see fit. Oblivion offers 100-200 hours of unique gameplay.
Other Western style RPGs: Morrowind, Fable, KOTOR, Jade Empire

Enchanted Arms's setting is a post-apocalyptic modern day/alternate reality You can run around talking to people in 3rd person view and the battles are turn based. The missions are very linear and you typically move through the story in a highly regimented order and there are very few sub-plots. Enchanted Arms offers about 20-30 hours of unique gameplay
Other JRPGs: Final Fantasy, Dragon Quest, Grandia, Xenosaga

PSU's setting is a futuristic/sci-fi world. You get missions from a central location and get a group together then go hacking and slashing. It's got semi-linear gameplay meaning not as regimented as a JPRG but not as free form as a Western RPG and the battle system is realtime but it's usually done in small groups (controlled by other players or the CPU). PSU offers about 20 hours of gameplay offline and "unlimited" online gamplay for a monthly fee
Other Adventure/RPGs: Sudeki, Shenmue

I'd recommend all three games but all three are very different types of games despite being under the RPG umbrella. the cost difference is substantial too... PSU can be had for $10-$20, enchanted arms can be hand for $30-$40 and Oblivion still fetches $60... I'd recommending picking up either PSU or Enchanted arms now and waiting for the GOTY version of Oblivion to come out as it will include close to $40 with of bonus content free.

Oblivion is great. I've been playing the hell outta Blue Dragon, though. If you've got a japanese 360 like I do, the Asian import has 100% English text, with all the spoken parts subtitled. Don't bother with the demo, from what everyone says, it sucks (and sounds like because they place it in a part that's not fun without understanding what came before it). Anywayz, well worth the price of import. If you're stuck with just a US console, it comes out here next month. I'd definately recommend reserving a copy.

Another one that you should look out for is Trusty Bell (or Eternal Sonata for US/EU). The demo was amazing, IMO. I was going to import that as well, but the only import seems to be japanese text, and with the US release date slated for August, I figure I'll just wait patiently for it.

If you're that "homophobic", without revealing any spoilers, I'd say you'd enjoy most of the game.

However, I was ready to be done with Enchanted Arms by the time it was finished.
I got rather disgusted with Bethesda for taking content out of the game just to resell it, so while I enjoyed the game, I haven't felt like giving them any more money.
When the PSU story ended I was really sad because I didn't want it to end. There's an expansion coming out for it, though I don't know if it's coming to the 360.

You may also wish to try out the Eternal Sonata and Blue Dragon demos.
