Starting June 21st, Doritos will be taking submissions of Doritos-inspired video game ideas. If you think you have an idea for THE game, here's what you need to do. Just head over to the contest site on June 21st and register. Once that's done, you need to finalize your game entry. You'll need a written game description and up to five media files submitted on the site before midnight CST on July 29, 2007. Once the finalists are chosen, the winner will be chosen by the site users, who will be able to play all 5 games (in beta), on October 29th, with the winner announced on November 19th.

If you come up with the winning idea, you'll be rewarded with a top-of-the-line surround sound system, a 42" plasma TV, a pro gaming chair, a limited edition XBox 360 Elite console, and a copy of every XBox 360 title published by Microsoft in 2007?

Correct me if I am wrong, but aren't all games for the Xbox 360 somewhat published by Microsoft?

There's a difference between being a publisher and owning the platform.

I'd have a virtual Brooke Burke-style girl (only somewhat more endowed and "bouncier"), and you attempt to shoot Doritos into her mouth.

I'm not sure what the challenge might be.... but but would certainly be mesmerizing.

Maybe "Doritos @ 4:20am" where some bloodshot eyed college dude with a soul patch and wearing hemp loafers is on a quest to locate the last stash of Doritos in Ann Arbor, Michigan after April, 20 festivities have taken place.

How about "Tortilla Sweat Shop" - you operate a bakery full of pre-teen Mexicans slavishly working on the next Doritos shipment. It's a sim game, where you must manage your resources and expenses, against making as few improvements as possible in your shop and still keep a manageable workforce alive and healthy enough to make product.

An amazing game idea... based upon tortilla chips?

I'm really, really looking forward to see what wins.

ROFL!!!!

However, my "official" statement to this idea is - what a sick, demented, and twisted idea; shame on you

So... we just have to write the idea and create some concept type images and someone else will be responsible for the code and programming end?

F that, i don't want the prize. Being in the game industry I would rather be the designer of the project.  I wonder if they want a design document or just a quick summary.
