Street Fighter II HD Remix Sprite Comparison
« on: June 08, 2007, 07:40:00 AM »

Capcom released an example of an actual game sprite for the new Street Fighter HD remix coming to the XBLA

IPB Image

YES that is an ACTUAL SPRITE from the new game comparied against a sprite from the original

Apparently despite the new sprites the game will still be 4:3 so expect bars on the sides. this is because they didn't want to modify the gameplay at all, just the graphics and changing the aspect ratio they felt would change the gameplay as well. (understandable)

Who says 2D games don't have a place in an HD gaming world... I say BRING IT ON. I'd love to see some FRESH and NEW 2D fighters done in the gamplay style of the mid 90s fighters like Killer Instinct or Primal Rage, but of course with HD sprites in 16:9 and 60FPS  love.gif

yes it will... it's basically the original Super Street Fighter II Turbo version of the game with all new HD sprites.

I'm not sure if they're updating the music as well... personally I hope they do, I've always hated SF's music.

I'm not sure if it's releasing at the same time or soon after but they're also releasing an HD "remix" version of Super Puzzle Fighter II Turbo  love.gif

Cant. FREAKIN. WAIT.
Seriously one of my favorite games of all time.

Just wondering, how much would you guys actually pay for these games? I know that I would pay a good amount of MS points for Puzzle Fighter.

puzzle fighter I'd probably pay 1200 point for, especially an HD one.

HD SFII I don't know... it really depends on the achievements I guess. IMO this new version is what they should have been working on the first time around.

I'm still pretty sour that they charged 800 points for essentially a straight up port of the least feature filled version of SFII and even after all the delays to "get it perfect" the net code still blew and was still full of bugs dry.gif

I seems to be Capcom's MO with street fighter to sell you the same damn product 10000 times... I'm not sure whats worse, the fact that they do it or the fact that most people keep buying them.

If the achievements are good, challenging and interesting without being stupid impossible then I'd consider getting it for 800 points and try to forget that I bought the other one. otherwise I just wont even bother
