A Square Enix executive has disclosed to Japan's Nikkei BP that the company currently has no plans for Final Fantasy games on the 360. Noting that the PS3 is getting Final Fantasy XIII, the website asked Square Enix's Shinji Hashimoto if the Wii or Xbox 360 will also be getting games in the series. That quote sounds suspiciously like they're waiting for either Microsoft to pay lots of cash to get it ported to the Xbox360, or for Sony to pay a lot of cash to not port it to the Xbox360.

I've still never played any of the final fantasy series even though I have a PS1 & PS2. I'm not really surprised by this news tbh. It's the only exclusive Sony can keep tbh.

well if they can get MGS then getting FF should be like taking candy from a baby.

although if the battle system is like the one in XII, then no one is gonna buy it anyway.

honestly, i can live without FF if we can get a copy of kingdom hearts on the 360. i would love to see that leave sony personally. from what i recall, they said they had no intention of pulling off of the ps2 because the xbox didn't have a large enough fanbase to warrant it, this is not the case with the 360, so i just hope square decides to go multi platform.

i think there will be a FF game for the 360.
there is not said that they won't be making them, maybe later
MS should pay them to make a game, its almost the only way to get the 360 of the ground in japan etc.
it's an easy dissicion for japanese people. a ps3 with FF for about 700 euro or a 360 with FF for 400 euro.

if square doesent whant money then whatever. but relly the ff serise is dying anyways couse yes 13 has 12s battle system if you watch the videos. blue dragion will smoke it at least in the us. so the 360 has the better rpg anyways couse blue dragion is old school.

Sony will always remember this Square-Enix decision.
