Heh. I have a xbox360, and Gears Of War, but haven't played it's multiplayer modes. Is it safe to say it's better than Halo's?

Maybe he doesn't like paying for online stuff?

I wonder how they did the primary console thing, lots of the titles are multiplattform. I understand it when there is did differences between the consoles like tiger woods having more content on xbox and ps2, but still shouldn't both of them be the primary console then? I would have prefered if multiplattform games just said multiplattform.
And where the hell is Portrait of ruin? And even more puzzleing where is EBA.

A nicer best of 2006 list:

They did it based on the best/preferred version which in IMO is more honest and cuts all the bullhsit. The said the ps3 version of fight night is the best version while COD3 ifor 360 is th best version. It helps when u let ppl know which version is the best version to buy instead of just telling them "hey get anyone they are all good" when they are not.

I disagree with some stuff too, I believe viva pinata and Loco Roco should've been higher but just because I dont agree with it wholeheartedly doesn't mean its not a nice list. I mean just because u agree more with that list doesn't make it a "nicer" list.

Hell no.. Halo 2's live experience is still the best one available for any console/game to date. That's not to say GoW isn't fun, believe me, it is.. but multiplayer leaves a lot to be desired (namely, a lack of gametypes and a good matchmaking system). That's not to say they can't improve it with a few live updates... and hopefully they will.

Hah. You're like my roommate. He plays winning eleven all friggin day long. I suppose he became a soccer fanatic during his time spent in argentina. I can't stand the game personally... or any sports game for that matter (madden, nba, nhl games, etc)... I just don't enjoy playing them. Ah well, to each his own I suppose wink.gif

starting a multiplayer game of gears isn't as easy as halo 2. but, the actual online gameplay of gears >>>>>>>>>>>>>>> halo 2. that's all i have to say about that. although, as others have said, play it and see what you like. they are different, halo 2 you can run around and gun people down, gears is way more team involved.

07. Dead Rising - Xbox360

Your kidding me right? The game looked fun, but got very old very quick.

33. Saints Row - Xbox360

Swap those two and this list will be closer to realistic.

close range fighting in multi-player gears of war leaves a lot to be desired since there's no retical (chainsaw and guys blowing up from shotgun is still cool to look at though).  halo 2 would annihilate gears of war multiplayer if not for all the hacking and wussy boosters, still, halo 2 multiplayer is better.

Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell Double Agent for the 360 should have been in the top 10.  At least the top 15.  41 is waaaay too low.  I know it didn't bring too much new to the table, but it was the best game in the serious by far.
