Check out this article.  The expensive DLC released same time as the game basically unlocks what is already on the disc.  You know, it's bad enough EA does something like this, but it's that much worse that MS lets them get away with it.  The marketplace is going downhill incredibly fast in my opinion.  It is supposed to be a medium to enrich gaming, but instead is clearly being used as a tool to break wallets and cheat players out of what should be included on $60 and $70 discs.   dry.gif

Fuck EA. I'll NEVER support anything they put out. This is rediculous. PAYING to UNLOCK something ALREADY ON THE DISK?!?! You gotta be kidding me? So you're basically paying $10-20 for codes. I hope gamers start wising up and stop supporting their games. Hurt their pockets, and don't buy ANYTHING THEY MAKE.

Stop whining about it.
Always the same: "Bloody EA... total rip-off"

Come on guys: JUST DON'T BUY IT!
If nobody does, EA will stop doing it.
It's that simple...

What you don't reliase is that you can unlock these for free by just playing through the game like you usually would.  Im a big fan off the NFS games but don't think ill be buying this one....  Everybodys saying that the blur makes it unplayable!!!

same thing was done in TOCA 2 for xbox, if you wanted to open all the cars with out winning them you could purchase a key from them online, and it onyl worked on your xbox, this is nothing new

Lame?  I don't think so.  If you want the cars for "free", play through the game.   Don't feel like putting 20 hours in?  Just "unlock" that item you want.  I think it's a good strategy for EA myself.  People nowadays want instant gratification.   This gives it to them without working for it.

that's what codes were always for, I'm not a codes person myself, but jeez, EA's acting like they don't know what "downloadable" content is....I'm not buying it, so whatever.

It's my understanding that you can't earn these cars from the game.  You have to pay to unlock them when they are already on the disc.  Regardless, paying for cheats is rediculous.

something to remember in all of this is
live transactions/micro transactions are new to publishers they are experimenting with the buyer to see what they take to so they can either sell it for more or less or eliminate it all together. our actions will determine what happens with these kinds of charges....
if no one buys access to cheat/content then guess who wont be charging for them anymore.
in the end the idea is now more like buying a car you have options of what you can include in your purchase rather than  them just including them, problem is when they are starting to charge you for a steering wheel and seats

isn't there a regulation how much a company can make from LIVE Marketplace? Seems like EA are abusing this to earn quick $$$.

If there are no rules for developers, then i would do the same. i mean i can probably make 200-500 gamer pics and theme a day and earn my living at Marketplace.  *sigh*

BOYCOTT EA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Honestly, are you guys (the ones that want the super cars w/o trying) actually trying to search and find problems to complain about? or do u run into them accidentally on your own?  It really seems like you are just complaining to complain about something.

it's a very wise decision on EA's side...pay or play for the extras, your choice. either way, stop complaining.

EA isnt ripping people off for this stuff. EA is just offering it online for sale. Its the freaking retarded MORONS that go out and actually BUY a freaking CHEAT CODE for 1-2-3-4-5 dollars that make the situation worse. If EA saw that these pay-for cheats didnt sell, they wouldnt bother with them in the first place.

But some idiots in a focus group decided to answer "1. Very Interested" on the "How would you feel about being penetraded in the anus without lubricant by getting charged for cheats you would normally recieve for free?" question.

Bottom line. Stop buying this crap.
